Burlington has a very cool entertainment facility called Activate and we are so excited to tell you about it! It’s a favourite for families who love excitement and high energy fun.

From their website:
“Activate is the world’s first active gaming facility, where you’ll play arcade-style games by actually jumping, climbing, and dodging. You and your group of 3-5 will move freely between eleven interactive rooms, choosing games that challenge your agility, problem-solving, and speed. Dive through lasers. Climb glowing walls. Only the best can conquer them all. Think you have what it takes?”

Visiting Activate in Burlington

Activate Burlington is a large, indoor entertainment facility for players ages 10 and older. The games are challenging and built with adults in mind. We had 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 10 and 12 with us and they tackled the games with gusto. We had a group of four, and Activate recommends 3-5 people per game. 2 can play, but it will be more challenging. Your visit is 75 minutes and you can choose your timeslot through their online booking system. You can have up to 10 in your booking time, but you’ll be split into groups of up to 5 to provide the best playing experience.

The Game Rooms

At Activate, you get access to all 9 rooms of gameplay, and you can play them more than once as long as time permits. I loved that the game rooms included both cooperative and competitive challenges because sometimes it’s fun to kick some butt! The rooms we each very different ad put our skills to the test. My kids loved the “Climb”, the room of light-up rock-climbing grips that change colour from green to red as you scale your way around the room. Stay off the red ones! There is also another level where the grips light up and you need to grab them whack-a-mole style!

“Grid” was a full energy mission to get from side to side without touching the lit tiles on the floor. Needless to say, I was the worst player on our team here, haha! But we laughed so much that I didn’t mind. This room has 3 variations of gameplay you can try. We had so much fun in all of the rooms, but my kids liked “Hoops” – a basketball shooting mission, and “Laser” the most.

“Laser” made you feel like you were creeping through a top-secret vault protected by motion-activated laser beams. It was another laugh-fest that made us sweaty and wide-eyed. This one was hard but so exciting. You can see all of the rooms at Active Burlington here.

Tips For Your Visit to Activate Burlington

Book your visit online before to make sure you get a spot. Walk-ins are permitted, but you may not get your preferred time. Bring a small group with you, and don’t worry about talent or skill because everyone will have a great time. This was an excellent outing for my tween and teen, and my husband (who likes being home) loved it too.

There are lockers to hold your coats/bags, etc. because you definitely want your hands free and to make movement easy. Short sleeves were good because you want easy access to your Activate wristband because that is what grants you access to the rooms, and tracks your scores. Think of it as a gym class: rubber-soled shoes, long hair tied back.

Outside of each room, and throughout the facility there was hand sanitizer, and we found it to be very clean.

Price: $28 per person, plus taxes. Click here to book online.

If you have an artist, expect to spend lots of time at the painting walls. Dress for mess because once their imaginations get going, there’s not stopping true creativity! Paint on the clear windows and squeegee it off for a fresh slate.

Throw yourselves into the action with dress up and role playing toys. Everyone can transform into someone new with costumes and accessories.

Who Should Visit?

Kids of all ages will enjoy The Children’s Art Factory because it’s a fabulous destination for kids who are creative and imaginative. This is a must-see place for children. As long as they can walk around on their own, they’ll be entertained the whole time they visit.

It’s also a great spot to go with grandparents because the make-beleieve play is open ended, but also doesn’t require adult supervision. You can sit and watch your kiddos and grandkids explore and grow.

In addition, everything your kids create they can take home! Lots of art for everyone.

You have to have socks to enter (even adults) please don’t wear your nicest clothing as you will leave with glue, tape, paint and sand all over you if you’re anything like my kids.

Parking: there are four dedicated sports at the side of the building for guests that are clearly marked with lots of additional parking on the street out front.

The washrooms are spacious and very clean. There are two single bathrooms (one with a change room), both had accident clothing on the back of the door incase your child had an accident that you were welcome to which I thought was such a great idea.

Taking the kids to a drive-in movie is a classic memory maker. This list curates your options for drive-in movie theatres in Hamilton, Oakville, Niagara and more. You have a variety of options to choose from.

An evening at the drive-in is an evening everyone can enjoy. It’s a long-time favourite date night idea no matter your age. Watch a double feature (and occasionally a triple feature) of your favourite classic movies or a hot new release. I love that it’s cozier than a typical theatre and a little more private.

Kids love the drive-in theatre experience because it’s exciting and out of the box. There’s nothing better than watching a movie in your jammies while eating popcorn in the comfort of your vehicle.

Looking for laser tag? Our round up will highlight all of the local places to challenge your friends and people you’ve never met before. Whether you’re planning for a laser tag birthday party or are looking for some drop-in high-energy action, here is where you can find the best laser tag near you.

a family playing laser tag

What Laser Tag Exactly?

Laser tag is a high energy indoor game that combines strategy, teamwork, and adrenaline-pumping action. Players gear up with vests and handheld laser devices, both provided by the location you visit. Players then make their way into a dimly lit, maze-like arena looking for the opposing team members.

The primary goal? Tag opponents with laser beams while dodging incoming fire to rack up points and claim victory. It’s a thrilling experience that is fit for various ages, making it a popular choice for birthday parties or just a fun indoor activity.

Read More: Do you love the challenge these destinations offer? You may also love spending the afternoon at one of these escape rooms.

Looking For Laser Quest?

Laser Quest was a very popular destination for anyone interested in playing some laser tag in Mississauga/Oakville. Sadly, with the varying restrictions and closures, Laser Quest closed all of their facilities in September 2020.

Read More: keep the excitment going when you go head to head at one of these cool video game arcades.

How Old Must Players Be?

Participation isn’t restricted by age. Your kids and adult will enjoy themselves in the excitement of laser tag. One things to keep in mind is that the laser blasters and vests can be heavy for younger kids. My girls were small, and the Planet Laser tag equipment was a little on the heavy side for them at 8 years old. I always suggest parents visit a laser tag centre before you commit to an event so you can test out the weight of the equipment.

Whether you’re a group of friends, a family looking for an awesome outing, or someone planning a fun team-building activity, lasertag offers an experience everyone can enjoy. Players strategize, communicate, and make their way through the maze-like battlegrounds, relying on teamwork and quick decision-making.

Each of these laser tag arenas make great destinations for a family outing or a birthday party or give a gift card for the ultimate experience gift.

Laser Tag Birthday Party For kids?

Birthday parties these arenas are a hit for numerous reasons. They offer a super cool game play setting where your birthday kid and their friends can enjoy friendly competition. The immersive nature of the game ensures everyone gets involved, creating lasting memories.

Tag venues often provide party packages, including private gaming sessions, reserved party areas for cake and celebrations, and sometimes even additional perks like arcade games or special effects lighting. I’ve held my kids parties at Planet Laser in Oakville and Splitsville laser tag in Burlington and recommend them both. We had a great time and so did our guests.

Indoor laser tag centers provide a controlled environment for gameplay, which makes them very popular locations to host birthday parties in the winter and rainy spring months. We’ve been to arenas that have cool themes and obstacles to use to your advantage, adding an extra layer of thrill to the gaming experience. The dimly lit settings with glow in the dark black lights and maze-like layout create an immersive and exciting feel for players.

Explore the immersive escape rooms across Hamilton, Burlington, and the Niagara. Whether it’s a family outing, a team-building exercise for colleagues, or a fun hangout with friends, these interactive adventures create lasting memories and provide a shared experience that encourages communication and cooperation.

What is an Escape Room?

Escape rooms are challenges where players solve puzzles and riddles to make their way through a themed plot and try to ‘escape’ within a set time limit. These games have themes that cater to every interest, offering cool challenges perfect for friends, families, or coworkers looking for great entertainment.

Players being their adventure locked in a room together. The rooms are often themed around mysteries, historical events, or science fiction settings. What is the objective? To solve the clues, decipher the codes, and piece together the puzzles cleverly hidden throughout the room.

With a time limit adding suspense, teamwork and quick thinking become essential to successfully completing the mission.

How Many People Do You Need?

The number of players you will need will vary based on the room you choose to complete, but these locations below offer games set up for 2 to 12 people. Normally 4 to 6 players is the magic number which allows for lots of brain power, without too many cooks in the kitchen.

What makes escape rooms such a fantastic activity is their ability to foster teamwork and problem-solving skills in an enjoyable setting. Participants must communicate effectively, pooling their diverse strengths and perspectives to conquer challenges. These rooms require critical thinking, encouraging players to approach problems creatively and work under pressure.

Moreover, escape rooms serve as an excellent group activity.

Bowling, an ageless activity blending sport and leisure, stands as a staple of fun across generations. every city is home to a bowling alley near you, filled with the sounds of pins clasttering and balls

We love 10 pin bowling because it’s not a sport you have to be good at to enjoy. When the girls were younger, we did a lot of 5 pin bowling with bumpers and loved every minute of it. Most alleys offer bumpers to block the “gutters” and they have ramps to help assist getting the heavy 10-pin balls down the alley.

Bowling is a sport that brings people of different ages and skills together. It’s not just about rolling a ball, but also about creating connections and having friendly competition. No matter the weather, bowling is a great way to escape the heat, the cold and it’s good for a rainy day too.

This article will help you find bowling places near you. This list includes local bowling alleys that have been in business for decades and more modern bowling centres like Splitsville Bowling, you’re sure to find a great spot to take the whole family soon.

Bowling is a fun indoor activity for all ages.Kids love bowling, while older people enjoy the competition and the opportunity to connect with loved ones. Don’t forget your grandparents, they’ve been bowling longer than you’ve been alive and just may show you a trick or two.

Tips For Bowling

 • Dress comfortably, bowling takes full body movements and you don’t want to feel constrained while you beat your friends.
 • Find the right weight ball to use. Many times, your lane will come stocked with some colour bowling balls, but that doesn’t mean you can’t scour the entertainment centre looking for one that fits just right.
 • Wear socks, but don’t worry about your shoes. The bowling alley will rent you a pair of specialized shoes that won’t scuff the lane’s slick finish.
 • Ten pin bowling is the kind you play with the larger bowling ball, and 5 pin bowling uses smaller balls that you can easily grip with one hand. Both games are a ton of fun, so choose your preference.
 • All of these locations offer kids bowling near Hamilton, Burlington and beyond. Young kids can join the fun using bumpers and ramps to help them score points.

Aerosports Trampoline Park and Ninja Zone https://activeparents.ca/aerosports-trampoline-park/ Wed, 13 Sep 2023 20:44:23 +0000 https://activeparents.ca/?p=43323 Read about this top-rated destination for kids who love to move, jump and climb!

The post Aerosports Trampoline Park and Ninja Zone appeared first on Active Parents.

Aerosports Trampoline Park is a huge trampoline park on the Mississauga-Oakville border and a top-rated destination for kids who love to move, jump and climb! I took my girls and they had a blast. Here’s what they loved about it.

Aerosports Trampoline Park Oakville’s main attraction is its 30,000-square-foot trampoline park. They have more than 20 individual trampolines that kids bounce from one to one on, plus a long trampoline run that is the perfect place to practice flips and somersaults just like an Olympian. My kids love the trampoline basketball because, for the first time, they could (almost) dunk!

Aerosport Trampoline Park in Oakville

Big Fun For Kids of All Sizes

As soon as you enter the main play space, you will see this massive slide. It’s impossible to miss! I saw kids of all ages sliding down and squealing with excitement. One slide is a straight descent and the other has a fun bump in the middle of your ride.

Beside the slide is a small climber which takes you to the top of the slides. In this same section is an arcade and a snack bar (both are an extra cost).

Rock Climbing Wall at Aerosports Trampoline Park

Across from the super slides pictured above, you’ll find the rock climbing wall and the foam pit. The rock wall is split into two distinct sections. One section w reaches a height of about 5-6 feet and another one that is much higher at approximately 15 feet tall. The taller wall has a soft, deep landing pad as its base so climbers can drop in safely when they’ve reached their maximum elevation.

Don’t Skip The Ninja Zone!

When we booked jump passes for Aerosports Oakville, we didn’t know it had a ninja warrior-style area. My kids didn’t know there was one so when they saw it, they were all over it! The ninja zone is pretty challenging and a ton of fun. Kids will push themselves to the limit to make their way through!

The equipment is unique and versatile – kids can use it in so many different ways. My girls quickly learned about muscles they didn’t know they had.

This section is separate from the trampolines and proved to be a great escape from the busyness of the trampolines. The ninja zone is included in your admission fee.

Aerosports Trampoline Park Pricing

The online booking process was quick and easy and filling out the waiver before we visited made checking in simple. You can also walk in. If you’ve been and have Aerosports socks, bring them with you, otherwise, they are available for purchase. Special socks are required.

1 Hour 2 Hours
Ages 5+ $20.99 $30.99
Ages 2-4+ $17.99 $27.99
Under 2 $3.00 $6.00
Prices are updated at the time of publication and are plus HST. Subject to change.

Other Features of Aerosports Trampoline Park

 • Lockers available to rent
 • Snack bar and refreshments available to purchase
 • No outside food or drinks allowed
 • Lots of seating for spectators

Tips for Your Visit To Aerosports Trampoline Park in Oakville

Leave your other trampoline socks at home. Every brand of trampoline park wants you to use their socks while in their facility. If you don’t have Aerosports socks, you can buy them at the counter.

Dress in light clothing because you will get hot. My especially active kids wore shorts even though it was a cold fall day so they wouldn’t sweat more than necessary.

Bring water bottles to rehydrate. There are a couple of tables in the front section, away from the trampolines, where you can sit and maybe have a small snack. Aerosports also has a snack counter in case you forget refreshments at home.

Parents, you can jump, too! Or you can bring a book and catch up on your reading like I did.

The trampoline park can get busy, which can be overwhelming for littler jumpers. Try to “secure” your little ones a trampoline of their own so they don’t get double-bounced and get hurt. Or, if it gets too busy, check out the slides and ninja equipment until it quiet down.

Aerosports Trampoline Park Oakville-Mississauga is located at 2679 Bristol Circle, Unit 2&3 in Oakville, ON L6H 6Z8. Visit their website here.

Lil’ Monkey has a special Toddler section for younger kids. They’ve managed to shrink down some of the “bigger” and most popular play equipment to toddler size. So smart, and safe.

What’s New at Lil’ Monkeys?

First and foremost, my daughter was obsessed with the Vortex. It’s an optical illusion that convinces your brain you’re spinning. It’s super fun and the kids all seem to love it.

Lil’ Monkeys also added a bungee trampoline and my kids gave it two thumbs up. You’re hooked into a harness and you bounce on the trampoline while being suspended by bungee cords.

The Vortex and the bungee trampoline are included with your general admission.

Kids had a ton of laughs playing on the interactive game floor. We played soccer and a game where all the kids had to stomp on what looked like slime. Kids are so easy to entertain!

Also added is a gyro sphere! It’s one of those pilot seats that spins in all directions and makes you feel weightless! Very cool. We didn’t try this one personally but want to on our next visit.

The Arcade and Monkeys Bistro

The arcade has been rearranged and a few new games have been added. We couldn’t resist playing some skeeball! Can anyone resist skeeball? While I didn’t beat my kid, I did help her earn some credits that she traded in for goodies at the redemption centre, located beside the Monkeys Bistro, where you can get snack foods, drinks, and even fresh-made items like burgers, pizza and salads.

Playtown in St. Catharines is a super fun destination for kids who love pretend play and using their imaginations to the max! Esther and her daughters visited and here’s what they experienced.

Do your kids love to pretend play? If they do, Playtown Niagara is the perfect place for you to visit!

This week, I took all four of my girls to Playtown, technically located in St. Catharines. Our first visit was a hit with my kids – ages 7, 6, 3, and 1. We met some friends there, stayed for two full hours, and my kids would only leave with promises to return.

After signing in, we took off our shoes and coats in their big walk-in closet and then headed through an alarmed door into a small cafe. The alarmed door is great to make sure little ones can’t sneak away like ninjas in the night! While there was no food or drink available for purchase, we were allowed to bring any of our own along. I dropped off our things on one of the tables, while my kids ran to explore. Before I knew it, I had no idea where they had gone, however, the security monitors in the cafe displayed each section clearly and it was easy to see which areas my kids had gravitated towards.

Imaginations Can Run Wild At Playtown in St. Catharines

The big room is split into different playhouses. There is an auto shop (pictured above) in addition to a diner, a grocery store, a theatre, a salon, an animal hospital, a raceway, and even a home! Along with this, in the middle of the big room, the kids can run and play with a space shuttle, a fire truck, and an ice cream truck. It was so fun watching where my kids picked to play, and how they used their imaginations in various ways. An added bonus? I didn’t have to clean up after them! Likewise, I was also thankful for my one-year-old that we found a toddler area with toys perfect for her.

Where Is Playtown Niagara?

Playtown Niagara is located at 150 Dunkirk Road in St. Catharines. Visit their website at playtownniagara.com

How Much Is Admission To Playtown Niagara?

You can choose public play or private play. Prices, hours and restrictions change often, so check them out online here.

What Ages Will Enjoy Playtown?

Esther’s kids are ages 1 through 7 and their age group was perfect for Playtown in St. Catharines.

When Is The Best Time To Visit Playtown Niagara?

Playtown Niagara’s drop-in hours for public play change week to week because they host special events and birthday parties so it is important to check the website or their Facebook page before you head on over.

Can You Bring Food To Playtown?

I loved that my kids could stop and eat some snacks at any time and I am thankful my friend thought of bringing coffees from a nearby Starbucks. The closest restaurants are about a five-minute drive, and another mom had the grand idea of bringing Happy Meals for her kids to enjoy in between their playing. Unfortunately, the washrooms inside the playground were out of order, so we did have to head out the doors of ‘PlayTown’ when my kids needed to go to the washroom.

Is Playtown Baby- and Stroller-Friendly?

Definitely! Babies will love exploring a section of their own with rainbow, padded floors and lots of new toys to play with. Strollers easily roll through the facility.

Good To Know Before You Go

 • Lots of parking onsite
 • Multiple washrooms
 • TV screens show all of the play areas so you can see your kids when they’re out of eyesight
 • Yes, they host events and special events, so call before you visit to make sure open play is on for that day

Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Golf at Putting Edge https://activeparents.ca/glow-in-the-dark-mini-golf-at-putting-edge/ https://activeparents.ca/glow-in-the-dark-mini-golf-at-putting-edge/#comments Sun, 02 Jul 2023 13:00:00 +0000 https://activeparents.ca/?p=39752 Mini golf is perfect for a rainy day, day date or birthday party.

The post Glow-In-The-Dark Mini Golf at Putting Edge appeared first on Active Parents.

]]>

If you follow our adventures on Facebook and Instagram, you’ll know that we love mini-golf! But when the unsavoury weather rolls in and the outdoor courses close for the season, you can still play an awesome round at Putting Edge mini golf course in Oakville.

Putting Edge offers glow-in-the-dark indoor mini-golf! Located in Oakville on the border of Mississauga, we think it’s worth the trip to cross this fun experience off of your family’s bucket list.

Indoor fun is our speciality

Glow In The Dark Indoor Mini Golf in Oakville

It’s not easy to find things to do with teens so when my daughter suggested Putting Edge I was thrilled. I hadn’t been in years and knew we would have a blast.

Pre-book your tee time by securing a reservation online the day before you plan to golf. You can call Putting Edge directly if you want to book a same-day tee time. And if you love being surprised, you can also drop into the facility and hope to be next in line. We booked online to be sure we wouldn’t add any waiting time to our day.

About Putting Edge Indoor Golf Oakville

This Oakville mini golf course is 18 holes of black light glow-in-the-dark golf. As you putt your way through this indoor golf course, you will see pirate scenes, underwater ocean views, outer space and more – all glowing under black lights!

Tip: Wear clothing that is bright or white and you will also glow under the lights.

The indoor golf course is a blend of challenging and fun. You can hone some of your short-game skills but they also have holes with those crazy twists and turns that you might as well putt with your eyes closed! When you least expect it, you just may sink a hole-in-one like I did!

Much like professional golf, you can play indoor mini putt in teams of fours during your tee time. On this visit, just my teenage daughter and I golfed, so our round of 18 holes took the two of us about an hour. Expect the time to take longer if you add more players to your team.

A visit to Putting Edge Oakville mini putt course was a fun way to spend some time with my teenager. It would also make a great date night idea or a rainy-day solution to cabin fever.

How Much Is Putting Edge Indoor Mini Golf?

Each player is $14 plus HST.

Where Is Putting Edge Located?

Putting Edge Glow in the Dark Mini Golf is located at 2085 Winston Park Drive in Oakville, Ontario. They also have other locations. Click here for more info.

Playcious Oakville – What To Expect

We visited this new-to-us indoor play centre on a weekend and could clearly tell this is a hot spot for birthday parties. Parking is free at Playcious Oakville and there is a lot of it. The entrance is wheelchair accessible and the whole facility is on one floor. It’s not stroller friendly so I suggest baby-wearing if you’re bringing an infant along, but as long as you can crawl there’s definitely fun to be had.

There’s a full-service snack bar with a seating area. They serve hot, kid-friendly foods such as chicken nuggets, fish & chips and hotdogs. For little snackers, there are cookies, chips and everyone’s favourite, a Slush Puppy machine! It is also worth mentioning there is a coffee bar to help perk up tired party parents.

Climbing and Cars at Playcious Oakville
A climbing tower to the left and bumper cars to the right.

The play structure has a huge selection of interactive activities inside and is large enough to accommodate grown-ups. Toddlers can join in on the fun if they are accompanied by an adult. Between the large slides, a soft ball shooter and a mini ninja warrior obstacle course there is something for every Playcious Oakville player.

We were impressed with their cleanliness, too. It was a busy Sunday at this indoor play centre in Oakville and the facility closed every 2 hrs (between play time slots) to clean both the play structure and the entire space. There is a family washroom available in addition to diaper changing stations. Parents could also access slippers to wear in the washroom, which was a nice touch.

We know family fun and so does Splitsville Bowling in Burlington. They top the charts on bowling, but they have so much more (hello, laser tag!). We spent an evening making the most of our family time, and we are here to share 5 reasons you should plan to play with Splitsville.

Best birthday party venues near you

Start With A Game or Two At Splitsville Burlington

Of course, we had to kick off our family fun night with some bowling. Splitsville is home to 24 bowling lanes and they offer bumpers and glow-in-the-dark bowling in the evenings and on weekends. We love glow bowling! And I also love bumpers – ha! Nothing helps to add a few pins to my score like those bumpers.

Every lane can opt to activate its lane bumpers. Each lane also had digital scoring to make your play easier. We found lots of lighter balls for our kids to use. The little ones in the lane beside us loved using the ball ramp to help get their ball down the lane. Music plays so you can dance your way to a strike – or turkey!

Your Next Mission is… Laser Tag!

Laser tag is one of those activities – like bowling – where you don’t have to be great at it to have a fantastic time. It gets your heart pumping and you’re just on edge enough that it’s exciting and not scary haha! My kids are much better than me, but their Dad is our family’s king of laser tag. The man just doesn’t miss a shot! How do we know he’s so good? You get a printout of your stats at the end of your mission. It’s fun to see who hit more targets and who didn’t (me).

The laser tag arena at Splitsville Bowling in Burlington is called “City of Ruins “and it is 2 stories tall. It looks like a post-apocalyptic wasteland complete with toxic waste signs and rubble. The arena is lit with backlights so everything glows. Don’t make the mistake I did and wear a white shirt! You can play in multiple modes and compete in teams for every person for themselves. Both ways are super fun, especially when it’s grownups against the kids.

We’ve also done laser tag in Burlington at Splitsville as a group date night activity. We did women vs. men and couples teams. I definitely benefitted from Matt’s laser tag skills! It’s also perfect for birthday parties. You can choose to only do laser tag, or add it to your bowling party.

Arcade Play at Splitsville Burlington

The state-of-the-art arcade at Splitsville Burlington is a favourite for my gamers. They love the skill games and the shooting games. We always go home with a massive ball or something else from the ticket redemption centre. You can come in and play at the arcade even if you don’t bowl or play a round of laser tag. The arcade cards can be purchased on their own, or you can add cards to your birthday party package. The kids always love finishing off an epic party with some arcade play.

Refuel at Splitsville’s Restaurant

All that bowling and laser tag will make you hungry and Splitsville Burlington has a great restaurant to feed your entire group. They have a full menu that includes everything your kids will love, from burgers to chicken fingers to pizza. If you are dining with adults, be sure to check out their platters for sharing, delish appetisers and a full drink menu and beer on tap.

Does Splitsville have plant-based menu options? Yes, they do! You can see their entire menu here.

Splitsville Knows Bowling Birthday Parties

Chances are if you have school-age kids, they have been to a Splitsville bowling birthday party. The event planners make booking and prepping for your event super simple. They host kids, adults, corporate groups and teams thousands of times a year, so they are definitely experts. You can bowl – of course – and add on a round or two of laser tag, some playtime in the arcade and of course food! Splitsville will handle every aspect of your party for you, and who doesn’t love that?

Have you ever been to a board game cafe? With the cool weather rolling in, we recommend an afternoon at Never Board Games Lounge in Hamilton!

There’s a New Board Game Cafe in Hamilton

Board game cafes are such a great place to visit with tweens and teens, and any kids who love playing board games. My absolute favourite part is seeing the library of games to choose from knowing we can play as many as we want in one afternoon.

When you find a game you love, you can take a copy home with you!

Where is Never Board Games Lounge?

Never Board Games Lounge is located in Hamilton. The cafe is upstairs and offers of few different seating options to best suit you and your group. They have numerous four-person tables to bring you the comfort of home and booths for added comfort. But their premium seating is the best place to set up shop. Choose The Parlour for a cosy living room feel complete with gaming systems and a large coffee table for board games. Or opt to inhabit The Dungeon for your high-stakes games. Who will get the Game of Thrones-inspired chair?

Another great reason to visit Never Board Games Lounge is to try before you buy! With over 900 board games at this board game cafe in Hamilton, you’re sure to find a few titles that your family will want to add under the Christmas tree. We tried out so many, some we loved and some we were glad to try before we bought. For example, we loved the foolishness of Bears vs. Babies, but didn’t like the Millenials Monopoly. We also loved Sushi Go Party and the Tiny hands game would be great for a large group who loves to laugh.

We just had to try out the Millennial version of Monopoly!
