Drive-In Movie Theatres

Drive-In Movie Theatres
July 10, 2020 Amber Rohal

A night at the drive-in is a great way to get out of the house and enjoy some big-screen entertainment, all while being safely distant from others. Here are the local drive-in movie theatres near you!

We are so lucky to have a few different drive-in theatres to choose from. We’ve got their details below to help you choose. Please remember, we are in the middle of a health emergency this summer, so some rules have been added to keep everyone safe, and some amenities may be unavailable for the time being.

Starlight Drive-In Theatre

Address: 59 Green Mountain Rd East, Stoney Creek.

With three screens, and each showing a double-feature, you’re sure to please everyone in your social bubble. The concession stand is open and has all of that yummy theatre food you’ve been craving. They’re a popular destination on the weekends, so arriving at least an hour before showtime is recommended to get a great spot and get your snacks before the movie starts. Buy your tickets online (not available for sale at the park) here.

Prices: Start at $13 per person, with families of up to 5 $31.00.

5-Drive In Theatre

2332 Ninth Line, Oakville.
Website   |   Facebook   |   Instagram

Another 3-screen theatre showing some amazing double-feature movie combinations. Located in Oakville, and owned by the same company that owns the Stoney Creek drive in above, you’re sure to expect the same features. Pre-buying your tickets helps to ensure only enough spaces are sold that can accommodate social distancing. Buy your tickets here. With the great weather, we’ve been seeing them sell out, so don’t wait till the day off to buy!

Prices: Start at $13 per person, with families of up to 5 $31.00.

Can View Drive-In Theatre

1956 Highway #20 in Fonthill

If you’re okay with driving about 40 minutes from Burlington, this drive-in is opening 3 of their 4 screens for some amazing double-features. No concession food is being sold right now, but there are deals and discounts on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Prices: $12.00 per adult, $7.00 for seniors, kids 7-12 are $3 and kids under 6 are free!

Mustang Drive-In

5012 Jones Baseline, Guelph
Website   |   Facebook   |   Instagram

45 minutes from Burlington is Guelph’s Mustang Drive-in. Their concession stand is open, so no outside food or drinks are allowed. They’re showing a double feature each night, 7 days a week. They even have an all-nighter triple-feature scheduled for the August long weekend! Looks like they’re currently only accepting cash and no pre-purchasing of tickets.

Prices: General Admission $15.00, Kids 5-12 Years Old – $5.00, 4 years and younger – FREE!
