Fishing – to kids – is so much more than “just fishing”. They learn about the ecosystem, enjoy the fresh air, spend time in nature, and most importantly, bond with their new fishing buddies. It’s not the catch, it’s the fun they have, that will make lasting memories. I still remember the first fish I caught – a rainbow trout, with my dad, when I was 9 years old!
Don’t have fishing rods and other necessary equipment? Don’t fret, the Tackleshare Program loans out the essentials so everyone has a chance to make some memories. Last weekend we even borrowed rods and lures form a library up north!
