Niagara farmer’s markets are a great opportunity to buy fresh local produce and meet the people who lovingly grow the fruit and vegetables. Additionally, many farmer’s markets sell artisanal work, baking and other locally made delicacies. Some, like the Niagara Falls, Niagara on the Lake and Ridgeway Markets, have weekend entertainment for the family. Others, like the St. Catharines Farmer’s Market run year- round.

Grimsby Farmer’s Market
Grimsby Farmer’s Market has vendors with fresh produce, plants, trees and flowers, meats, cheeses, preserves and treats like nuts, popcorn, and ice cream. Watch the website for the Christmas Market too and shop local for unique gifts like fudge, baking, cider, and wine barrel décor, for the holiday season.

Market @ the Village Niagara on the Lake
The Market @ the Village has fresh produce and prepared foods to eggs, cheese, baking, frozen soups, honey and maple syrup to body and home products and jewellery, antiques and gifts. Enjoy a beverage, eat breakfast or lunch in the picnic area, and be entertained by local musicians.

Niagara Falls Farmer’s Market
The Niagara Falls Farmer’s Market sells fresh farm produce, prepared foods, artisanal goods, and baking. It’s also worth special mention – the market will also “routinely host a whole range of children’s activities, community initiatives, musicians, and other entertainers.”

Pelham Farmer’s Market
Support local. The Pelham Farmer’s Market slogan is “from our gate to your plate.” The market is an open-air market. Bring cash. There is no ATM onsite though some vendors will accept debit or credit. Go check out the local produce and please leave your pets at home.

Ridgeway Farmer’s Market
You’ll find fresh produce, baking, artisanal products at the Ridgeway Farmer’s Market. You’re invited to bring a lawn chair and stay for the music.

St. Catharines Farmer’s Market
The St. Catharines Farmer’s Market runs year-round and has a bit of everything from fresh produce to prepared foods, baking, beverage and artisan merchandise like crystals, minerals, wood designs and dyes. Other vendors sell specialty chocolates, cheeses, meats, and sauces.

Welland Farmer’s Market
The Welland Farmer’s Market has been operating since 1907 and is the largest farmer’s market in Niagara. Vendors sell a variety of fruit and vegetables, meats, and cheeses, baking and artisanal goods. Among the items listed are cheesecake, chocolates and K9 treats.
