Join us for Mythical March Break Camp at Joseph Brant Museum between March 10 – 14. We’ll be exploring Myths Around the World, Movies, Fairytales & Legends, Mythical Creatures, Heroes & Villains, and Mythbusters as our daily theme. Activities include crafts, games, scavenger hunts, and experiments. Camp runs daily from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, and is designed for campers between the ages of 5 – 12 years old. The Loft @ Longos Cooking Camp

These are the needles in the haystack – summer camps for 4 year olds! Many camps take kids over 6 but these ones know that children in kindergarten need summer camps, too! A few of these camps also take kids as young as 3 because those fall birthdays can be tricky!

Why don’t all camps accept 3 and 4-year-olds? In Ontario, if a day camp wants to offer programming for children who are younger than 4, the camp needs a child care licence or needs to follow the rules for unlicensed child care. This includes a smaller child-to-counsellor ratio, plus a few other stipulations that normally only apply to childcare operators.

It’ is only weeks and days’s not long now until school is out for the summer! Kids are excited and parents like you are busy looking for the best summer camps in Hamilton and the surrounding areas! Signing your kids up for an outdoor camps near you is a great way to make sure your kids get a ton of fresh air and soak up that Vitamin D all break long. Outdoor camps offer the same camaraderie campers get at other camps, but they also include a connection to mother nature and the outdoors in their programming.

The Central Ontario Developmental Riding Program (CODRP)/Pride Stables offers therapeutic horseback riding to people with disabilities. Classes are held during the fall, winter, spring and summer. Winter camps during school breaks offer children a fantastic opportunity to stay active, engaged, and socialize in a supervised and enriching environment. These camps provide a break from routine, encouraging kids to explore new activities, make friends, and learn valuable skills in a fun setting. They offer a variety of specialized programs that cater to different interests, ensuring a well-rounded experience that fosters personal growth, resilience, and memorable experiences in a safe and structured setting.

Camps offer an array of engaging activities for kids during their time off school. These camps provide a mix of indoor and outdoor adventures, catering to various interests. From sports-focused programs emphasizing hockey or skiing to creative arts camps nurturing painting, crafts, and drama, there’s something for every child. Science and technology camps often feature robotics, coding, and experiments, fostering innovation. Nature-themed camps explore wildlife, winter hikes, and survival skills. With a focus on fun, learning, and social interaction, these camps ensure a memorable break, promoting teamwork, creativity, and personal development in Ontario’s picturesque winter wonderland.

This list includes programs for kids as young as 4 years old, up to teenagers. Your teens might also find the winter break an ideal time to clock some volunteer hours for high school. Halton Catholic DSB – last day before break is Thursday, December 21 and the Friday is a PA Day for you. You return on Monday, January 8, 2024

HWDSB – last day before the break is Friday, December 22 and you go back Monday, January 8, 2024

HW Catholic DSB your last day before winter break is Friday, December 22 and you go back Monday, January 8, 2024
