Halloween is my favourite time of year. I love seeing my neighbourhood filled with kids, the controlled fear of watching scary movies all weekend, and of course, mini Snickers bars. So wrapping up this list of spook-tacular Halloween events in Halton was my pleasure!

Every Day in October

Waterdown Village Scarecrow Walk – Explore the Village to see all 60+ scarecrows! Vote for your favourite scarecrow, go on the Scarecrow Scavenger Hunt to solve the secret puzzle and be eligible to win prizes!

Get your pumpkin carving skills out and show Lindsay Gordon of Heritage Realty your stuff! You could win a $50 Visagift cardd for your work!

Paint-A-Pumpkin at Terra – Celebrate fall with TERRA at their Paint a Pumpkin Events! $5 per pumpkin and receive $5 off your same day in-store purchase.

30th Annual Pumpkinville at Happy Rolph’s – A fun-filled family fall festival with plenty of FREE games, activities, and entertainment including pumpkin carving, scarecrow building, bouncers, hay dive, crafts, face painting and so much more!

Mountsberg’s Spooktacular Halloween: Enjoy owls, vultures and snakes, wagon rides, pumpkin carving, and a Haunted Barn.

Harvest Festival at Springridge is sure to enchant the whole family with wagon rides to the 5-acre corn maze, the Boo Barn, and spider web climber!

MakeBreak at Michael’s Craft Stores: You’ll “fall” for this glittery slime featuring sequin leaves or pom-pom pumpkin mix-ins! We’ll provide the supplies, including premade slime.

Michael’s Kids Club – drop into Michaels stores this morning and make some boo-tiful bat crafts.

Camper Halloween at Bronte Creek: Trick or Treat around the campground! Ghosts and goblins will go from site to site instead of door to door. Get in the spirit and decorate your campsite.

Toddler Days – Halloween – The toddlers are welcome to come dressed in their Halloween costumes this week as we celebrate this eerie holiday. They will play monster freeze dance, make spooky slime, and enjoy a spider snack.

 

Saturday, October 27

Tiny Tots Trick or Treat in Downtown Milton – Celebrate Halloween in Downtown Milton! Children (and their parents) are invited to wear their costumes and collect goodies at participating businesses. There will be fun activities, lots of treats, popular characters, a scavenger hunt and more.

Halloween Hunt on Ottawa Street – Kids can spot the pumpkin for a ‘trick or treat’ from Main to Barton.

Treats in our Streets – Celebrate Halloween at our wildly popular FREE trick-or-treating event! Families are welcomed by businesses to trick-or-treat in costume throughout the downtown, collecting goodies at participating downtown businesses.

Visit Milton Mall’s Mall’oween for our pumpkin carving party from 10 – 11 am. At 11 am all children can join our on-stage parade. Treat bags & crafts complete the spooktacular fun!

 

Sunday, October 28

Halloween Cookie Decorating at Ireland House – Do baking, decorating and eating delicious sugar cookies sound like fun for Halloween? We think so too! Bake Halloween sugar cookies on our 1830s Rumford hearth, decorate them and enjoy your creation!

Join Burlington Centre for candy, face painting and photo ops with your favourite Halloween characters. Wear your costume and join in the fun! During the event, Burlington Centre will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for the Gift of Giving Back – kids feeding kids.

“Thriller” Workshop – Join Hip Hop instructor Josh Court from Rising Star Performing Arts as he guides you through this iconic dance routine.

A Spooktacular Halloween Event at Little Rays – join us for a special Halloween event on October 29th to find out! We’ll be bringing out animals for hands-on demonstrations as well as handing out candy for kids!
