Let’s get spooky! There are dozens of things to do this October that will send shivers up your spine and make this Halloween season spooktacular! Take a look at all of the Halton Halloween events planned for families!

 

Every Day

Pumpkins After Dark – This Halloween season, experience a one-of-a-kind outdoor pumpkin art exhibit. Stroll along a ¼ mile path while viewing more than 5,000 hand-carved jack-o-lanterns and over 100 artisan-crafted pumpkin sculptures. With special light and sound effects and musical score, witness pumpkins come to life at night!

Waterdown Village Scarecrow Walk – The invasion of scarecrows returns to Waterdown! Until Oct. 31, there will be more than 65 scarecrows on display at participating businesses. Find them and vote for your favourite for a chance to win 1 of 2 $200 Shopping Spree Prizes. Find the clues on 10 of the scarecrows and solve the puzzle to be eligible for the $500 Grand Prize Shopping Spree.

 

Saturday, October 19

31st Annual Pumpkinville – A fun-filled family fall festival with plenty of FREE games, activities and entertainment including pumpkin carving, scarecrow building, bouncers, hay dive, crafts, face painting and so much more!

Spooktacular Halloween – During the month of October Mountsberg undergoes a ghoulish transformation! The spooky Haunted Barn, Singing pumpkins and a wicked witch are ready to greet you – for those who dare enter! Do you dare find the mad scientist in his lab or dance with the skeletons in their lair?

Mega Monster Bash – Kids will love making a spider web picture frame – free with all supplies included! 1 – 3 pm Make some glow in the dark Halloween slime!

Springridge Farm Harvest Festival – Enjoy wagon rides, a giant corn trail, professional puppet show, spooky Boo Barn, costumed characters and all your fun farmyard favourites!

Cineplex Family Favourites – take the family to watch Shrek this weekend! Only $2.99 per person.

Fright Night at Mountsberg – Are you afraid of the dark? Prepare for a night to remember at Mountsberg on Saturday, October 19 from 6 pm-9 pm with a hair-raising walk through the haunted barn, spine-chilling special guests, a shudder-inducing encounter with our very own snakes and owls and spooky woodland wagon ride. Get your fill of Halloween treats as you trick or treat around the park and roast a s’more over the open fire.

 

Sunday, October 20

Spooktacular Halloween – During the month of October Mountsberg undergoes a ghoulish transformation! The spooky Haunted Barn, Singing pumpkins and a wicked witch are ready to greet you – for those who dare enter! Do you dare find the mad scientist in his lab or dance with the skeletons in their lair?

Springridge Farm Harvest Festival – Enjoy wagon rides, a giant corn trail, professional puppet show, spooky Boo Barn, costumed characters and all your fun farmyard favourites!

Pumpkin Sunday – A fun event for the whole family, especially the little ones!  Featuring pumpkin-themed games, demonstrations, crafts and activities. Bring your camera!

 

Friday, October 25

Camper Halloween weekend – Public Campfire Friday Night – come out to learn the history and traditions of All Hallows Eve “Halloween” and enjoy stories, games music and more. Saturday activities for registered campers: Decorate your site, Dress up and go trick-or-treating around the campground. Then go on a spooky guided hike!

Haunted Halloween – Something curious is happening at Westfield Heritage Village!  Find out what as you explore by lantern, pumpkins and moonlight.

Join Burlington Gymnastics Club for Halloween Fun for a Boo Nastics party. Includes Boo NASTICS activities in the gym, craft, pizza & juice. Ages 4 and up.

 

Saturday, October 26

Treats in our Streets – Celebrate Halloween at our wildly popular FREE trick-or-treating event! Families are welcomed by businesses to trick-or-treat in costume throughout the downtown, collecting goodies at participating downtown businesses. Treating stops are highlighted on maps provided, featuring businesses and activities along the way! Our volunteers will also be on the lookout for the best costume to win a grand prize!

Spook Fest Toronto – SpookFest Toronto brings you a weekend filled with frightfully fun activities the whole family can enjoy. Guaranteed to be a spooktacular weekend filled with rides, trick-or-treating, haunted houses, activity stations and more! Don’t forget to come in costume and be ready to have some spooky fun!

Mall O’ween! – Get ready because it’s about to get spooky here at Milton Mall! Join us for our annual Mall’Oween celebration! Complete with a DJ, costume contest, crafts, pumpkin carving and lots of treats!

Visit Wildhagen  Adventure Gardens in October for our not so scary Halloween festival on weekends! Kids can come in costume. Each child will receive a pumpkin to decorate and take home 🎃… a treat and a drink! The park is fully decorated inside and out!

Chickadee Family Cafe has an ooey-gooey spooky slime time planned for you. Will your slime be orange or purple or green? Will it have spiders or flies? You decide! Join us for a fun Halloween themed slime workshop with Maria from Tiny Tales Storytime. Costumes are allowed and encouraged for this spooky slime time.

 

Sunday, October 27

Celebrating Halloween with Ireland House – Join us at Ireland House Museum on October 27 for a special Halloween themed day. Museum tour Candy Apple Bar (with homemade caramel sauce made on the woodstove!) Victorian Halloween Game Halloween Postcard craft.

Halloween, Pics, Tricks and Treats – Join Burlington Centre for candy, crafts, photo ops with your favourite Halloween characters and more.  Dress up as your favourite character and join in the fun.  Children can also trick or treat* at participating stores during the event.

 

Monday, October 28

Chickadee Famly Cafe invites you for a fun and not so scary Halloween party designed especially for our youngest trick or treaters. Come dressed in your Halloween costumes and enjoy a Halloween storytime, craft, Halloween sensory and a DIY photo booth plus enjoy some “trick or treating” Chickadee style in our play space.

 

Wednesday, October 30

Mapleview’s Annual Halloween Event – An evening of tricks, treats and all things spooktacular. Come out, come out, whoever you are… and join the little ghosts and goblins as they trick-or-treat around Mapleview Centre on October 30! Exciting Halloween events for the whole family.
