Canada Day Fireworks 2025: Where To See Them

Can you believe that July 1st is around the corner?! We sure can’t! It’s so exciting to see the return of many in-person Canada Day fireworks in Hamilton, Burlington, Oakville and beyond. In this article, to help you and your family make the most of the Canada Day weekend, you’ll find a list of all the fireworks displays and festivals to mark this special occasion!

On July 1st, Canada comes alive with an enchanting symphony of colours, illuminating the night sky as communities across the country gather to mark Canada Day with breathtaking fireworks. The mesmerizing displays capture the essence of celebration, filling the air with anticipation and excitement. From coast to coast, families and friends eagerly await this annual spectacle, creating lasting memories amidst the dazzling bursts of light. Fireworks embody the spirit of joy and wonder, reminding us of the joyous moments that make our country and her citizens so special.

Fireworks from the Rooftop

Join the Joseph Brant Museum in celebrating Canada Day with their view of the Burlington fireworks from their roof! There will be giant lawn games available to play and live music from Michelle Hedley throughout the evening. The event will end with the City of Burlington’s Canada Day Drone Show and Fireworks, starting at 9:40pm. Guests are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs for the fireworks.

Ticket includes pizza, wings, ice cream, and 1 beer/sangria ticket. Cash bar available. This is a 19+ event. The event will be moved indoors in the case of inclement weather. Learn more and buy your tickets here.

Burlington Canada Day Celebrations

Join the City of Burlington in its Canada Day celebrations with a party in the park! The day starts off with free Yoga in the Park at 9:00 am near the West Lawn.

Noon – 10 p.m. – Food & Marketplace vendors 

Noon – 4 p.m. – Kids Zone  

  • Sing along with The Whoopsie Daisies and Noise Pollution Rock Band and catch the fun antics of Juggler Ben! 
  • Special appearance by the Burlington Teen Tour Band – Drum Line at 2:20 p.m. as Burlington participates in the nationwide Canada Day drumming event. Bring your “beats” and join in on these six minutes of simultaneous drumming with participating cities across six time zones! 

4:00 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies led by the Burlington Teen Tour Band 

6:30 p.m. – Lucky Honey 

8:00 p.m. – My Son the Hurricane 

9:40 p.m.  (approx.) – Drone Show 

10:00 p.m. (approx.) – Fireworks Finale

Hamilton Canada Day At Bayfront Park

The City of Hamilton is throwing a FREE Canada Day extravaganza for the whole family at Bayfront Park! Event Schedule includes: Food Truck Rally,
Inflatables (until 6 pm), Creative Club (until 7 pm). Between 4 to 8:30 pm enjoy Spiniko Life Sized Games, Balloon Artists, Airbrush Artists, Stilt Walkers

When the sun sets, make sure you stick around for the grand finale! At 10 pm, prepare to be dazzled by a spectacular custom fireworks display that will light up the night sky.

Time: 1:00 pm start time (see the full day’s lineup here) and fireworks at 10:00 pm

Oakville Canada Day Celebrations

The fun starts at 5 pm. This family-friendly birthday bash will include community performances, interactive cultural displays, sports activities, crafts, face painting, strolling entertainers, delicious food trucks, and more!

Main stage performances will feature Kune – Canada’s Global Orchestra, Celtic-fusion artist Mary Frances Leahy, and the high-energy ROCK STAR LIVE karaoke experience. Plus, enjoy a vibrant performance by the Oakville Chinese Association’s Dragon Dancers.

At 10 p.m., weather permitting, the night will wrap up with a dazzling fireworks display over Lake Ontario.

A free Oakville Transit shuttle service will be available between Bronte GO Station (northwest parking lot) and the park, running every 10 minutes. (click here for Oakville’s lineup)

Waterdown Oh Canada! Ribfest

Come for the famous ribs and then stay for the Canada Day fireworks in Hamilton! Waterdown’s Ribfest also brings you:

  • LIVE MUSIC! See the calendar of stage events here
  • FIREWORKS! SUNDAY, June 29 at dusk in the SE baseball diamond (Rain Date: Monday, June 30)
  • ROTARY MARKETPLACE! Visit local vendors and community groups in the park all weekend
  • RIBFEST SKATEJAM! Sunday, June 29, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the skate bowl
  • MAGICAL MIDWAYS! The carnival has been expanded, and will be running in the park all weekend long (extra charge)

Brantford’s Canada Day Festival

Brantford’s Canada Day is an event that brings our community together to share our pride and gratitude for living in this great nation. Join us on July 1st for a day filled with live music, family-friendly fun. Activities include Paw Patrol story times, meet and greets with Trolls and Paw Patrol characters, performances, live music, midway rides, pony rides, and more! Niagara Falls Fireworks over the Falls

Niagara Falls will be illuminated in red & white lights while the Canada Day fireworks show blasts above them! A classic Canada Day celebration that is worth the drive to the Falls.

Time: 10:00 pm-10:15 pm

Price: Free

Canada’s Wonderland Fireworks

Canada’s Wonderland will host a fireworks display at 10:00 pm, so if you’ve got plans to visit the park for the day, stick around because, following that, you’ll be treated to a great quality fireworks display to celebrate Canada Day.
