Some Tips For NYE Success
Keep in mind your child’s tolerance for staying up “late” whether that means a little past their bedtime or all the way until midnight. Nothing spoils your fun like a meltdown that could have been avoided.
Prepare for new noises and possibly fireworks. We don’t see them often, so maybe watch some on YouTube and let your kids know what to expect.
Book ahead to avoid disappointment. NYE events are popular, so make your reservations as soon as possible. Some venues and hosts have an early seating and a later one to help families keep to their bedtime schedules.

The Boathouse restaurant is having a family-centred event that has tons of games and activities (way more than the usual few board games or one big Jenga set that some places have). There is Lego, whiteboards, crafts, games, puzzles, Mega Bloks, etc. It says there are centres/tables that kids can go sit at to play while parents enjoy a drink alone and/or activities that children can take to their tables to enjoy some family play time. It is 5-9pm with a ball drop at 8pm! Prix-Fixe adult ($30) and child ($15) menus
