Hamilton, Ontario is home to an exciting sports community, with a variety of local programs available for all ages and skill levels. From hockey to soccer, basketball to baseball, the city has a wealth of options for families looking to get involved in sports. Our list gives you a closer look at some of the sports programs available in Hamilton.
How do you know what sport League to choose?
You may be here because your kiddo has already shown an interest or aptitude for spots, and you’re just looking for a league. I love that, and I just know you’ll find a great program below.
But if your little sports fan has a variety of passions, you can narrow it down with their help. Look for a “multi-sport” league where kids get the chance to try a variety of sports to see which ones they love and which ones they are great at. Each week or session focuses on a new sport. Kids will learn the skills and rules of the game, and if they don’t like it, you’ve not spent hundreds of dollars to find that out!

Batter Zone has baseball batting cages available for use by individuals, small groups or teams. Indoor batting cages may be rented by the hour for batting practice.
Heron Creek Yoga & Fitness is family owned and community focused. We offer mom & baby classes like Barre/Pilates and Yoga. For 2024 we’ll offer Family Yoga, Kids & Teen Yoga.
We offer recreational and competitive jump rope programs for local residents. As part of our community-based philosophy, we also perform demonstrations at local events as well as at businesses and schools.
Little Kickers is a non-competitive program that uses imagination and play-to-learn basic soccer skills. Kids might be flying through space one week and running through the jungle the next week. We offer 4 different age groups to tailor each class specifically for that age range. Our 1.5 - 2.5 yr class is a full parent and tot class. This means our parents get to join in on the FUN! The next age group is 2.5 - 3.5 yrs old and the main goal for this age group is taking a step back from our parents and learning independence. The Mighty Kickers program starts at 3.5 yrs old and goes up to their 5th birthday. This class introduces team concepts and mini-matches at the end of each class. Our final age group is our Mega Kickers for children 5 - 7yrs old. This group will work on a different skill each week such as passing, defending, striking etc. They will also play a structured soccer game for half of the class. The Ontario Baseball Academy is an indoor baseball facility in Hamilton, Ontario, with over 17,000 square feet of dedicated training space. The Academy offers baseball lessons, indoor batting cages, Ontario’s only video pitching simulator, dedicated fielding space, pitching mounds and a private athlete only gym.
The Saltfleet Stoney Creek Soccer Club (SSC) is a not-for-profit organization that provides recreational, competitive and training soccer programs to the community.
We offer 12 lanes of 5-pin bowling, as well as regular special events and parties, complete with glow-in-the-dark bowling! Looking for a fun way to keep active? We also have bowling leagues for all ages and skill levels.
Programs offered by Wentworth Sports Complex include youth & adult soccer clinics & leagues, baseball classes and Little League, youth flag football leagues, learn to skate, hockey clinics and leagues & camps. Wentworth rinks and fields may be rented. There are pre-school and adult drop-in programs. When school is out we offer PA Day, holiday, March Break & Summer camps including Nature Camp.

Circus performance training and recreational circus classes. The classes offered are acro gymnastics, aerials, trampoline, trapeze, tight rope and more. The Circus Cubs is a program offered for children 2-5 years of age. Camps are 6+
