Halloween homes decked out in their creepy decorations are my favourite part of the season and we have a list of local must-see homes that went all out this year!
This list all started in 2018 when I found myself wondering “Where are the best Halloween houses near me?” I love seeing the scary and spooky decorations people come up with! Everyone who loves Halloween really loves Halloween – they go over the top with their front yard decor using sound, lights and even animatronics!
Drive or walk around your area to see the scariest, spookiest and downright fangtasic Halloween displays in Burlington, Oakville and Hamilton. The whole family will love it, and it costs next to nothing. Load your car with your kids in their jammies, some snacks and hot chocolate or apple cider and be prepared to be wowed by your community’s creativity!
2025 NOTE: If a house says “not confirmed for 2025” that means they were on our list last year and are most likely putting up their Halloween display this year, but we haven’t been able to confirm with them yet. We are always adding houses and confirming displays, so check back for more throughout the season!
TIP: We’ve added a scare-o-meter! Wondering how scary a home’s decor is? We know this info is helpful for parents of little ones, so we are including it when we get it. We have 3 levels and they’re noted below each home: Not Too Scary (perfect for any age), Some Creepy Elements (true Halloween spirit possibly some sounds and scary decor, Very Scary (be warned with little ones in tow! There could be animatronics or jumps scares waiting)

From the homeowners: “We do an enormous Halloween display every year multiple animatronics blowups lighting affects multiple smoke machines sound lasers close to 40 foot pumpkin all on a safe gated property with tons of lighting. It’s also weatherproof we put up large carnival tents. We also do lots of treats, all full-size chocolate bars, and full-size chips…”
