Voices of the Land: Indigenous Peoples Speaker Series at Crawford Lake

June 14

Join us at Crawford Lake Conservation Area this June as we come together to recognize National Indigenous History Month.

Voices of the Land returns for its second year, inviting visitors to connect with Indigenous voices through a series of engaging and meaningful talks and activities. Throughout the month, Indigenous speakers—including Knowledge Keepers, artists, and community members—will share stories, perspectives, and teachings rooted in culture, community, and connection to the land.

Today: Painted Feather Workshop with Moses Lunham 1:00-3:00

Join us for a hands-on painted feather workshop led by Moses Lunham, an Anishinaabe artist from Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. Participants will explore their creativity while painting their own unique wooden feather in a welcoming and guided environment. This program includes all required art materials, as well as a special live raptor visit for inspiration.   $50
