Residents are invited to join a special community skate celebrating Burlington athletes Emma Maltais and Renata Fast, who recently returned from the Olympic Winter Games after representing Canada and the Burlington community on the world stage. 

The family-friendly event will give residents the opportunity to skate alongside Olympians Emma Maltais and Renata Fast and meet them during a post-skate photo and autograph session. 

Event Details 

Date: March 22, 2026 

Times: 9 a.m.: Opening remarks 

9 to 9:50 a.m.: Free skate with Emma and Renata on Rink 4 

10 to 10:50 a.m.: Free open skate on Rink 4 

10 to noon: Meet and greet and autographs session with Emma and Renata 

Location: Appleby Ice Centre (1201 Appleby Line), Arena B – Rink 4 & Community Room 2 

This free, drop-in event is open to all residents, while capacity allows. No registration is required. Residents are encouraged to bring their skates and join the celebration on the ice.
