Join us at RBG’s Arboretum to witness one of nature’s most spectacular phenomena! On Monday, April 8th, 2024, a total Solar Eclipse will grace the skies over parts of North America, and RBG is within the path of visibility!

Immerse yourself in this awe-inspiring event in a picnic-style setting, complete with food and beverages (available for purchase) and cozy fire pits. Guests are encouraged to carry in blankets, lawn chairs, or their preferred seating options.

RBG’s Arboretum will be activated from 12 to 5 p.m. for your viewing pleasure (see eclipse timing here). Our team, including Dr. David Galbraith (RBG’s esteemed Head of Science) and members of the Hamilton Amateur Astronomers, will be on-site to facilitate light interpretation and engaging conversations about the eclipse. We eagerly anticipate sharing this extraordinary experience with you under the darkened skies.
