Culture Days at Area 8
Join us at Area 8 on Sunday, September 28, 2025, for a special free admission day in celebration of Milton Culture Days! Explore nature and creativity at this family-friendly event at our newest park, a former quarry site transformed through restoration efforts to a beautiful natural area, where grassland habitat and the lake support local wildlife. Highlights include a guided Poet’s Walk, exploring the Species at Risk Discovery Trail, a tie-dye station and more! Plus, little ones can play at our natural playground with a track featuring tricycles and pedal carts.
Included activities:
- Species at Risk Discovery Trail: Learn about the animals living in the park’s restored habitat, like the protected Bobolink, a small songbird.
- Poet’s Walk: Take some time to stop and reflect on the beauty of nature, while brushing up on your poetry during this self-guided experience.
- Natural Playground: Perfect for little ones, the natural playground features interactive elements like a climbing zone, sand dig area, and a track with tricycles and carts!
- Fall Colours Tie-Dye Station: bring your own white clothing to tie-dye to celebrate the season! (Optional: purchase a Fall Into Nature t-shirt)
