Ginger, Bunty, Babs and Fowler are chickens who are trapped on their farm in the English countryside and desperately want to escape. If they don’t produce any eggs for the week, Mr. and Ms. Tweedy will have their heads. After numerous attempts, they continually fail, and time is running out. When it seems like all hope is lost, an American rooster named Rocky falls out of the sky and into their midst. Having witnessed Rocky seemingly able to fly unassisted, Ginger now realizes that the only way out is to fly the coop. With Rocky’s help, the chickens hatch their plan to learn the trade of flying, before they all end up in the Tweedys’ new chicken pie-making contraption.
