Hamilton Day: Steeltown’s Encoded Dreams Art Activity

Explore Hamilton with artist Paige Smith through a playful, hands-on artmaking experience inspired by the city’s architecture, industrial landscapes, and evolving identity. Participants will transform still photographic images of Hamilton, printed onto 35mm acetate slides, using paint, nail polish, drawing, and other mark-making techniques to imagine how the city might look, feel, and dream into the future. Individual creations will come together as a collective illuminated artwork, creating a colourful and layered portrait of Hamilton shaped by the community.
