DESCRIPTION:Enjoy treats with an international twist this Mother’s Day! Join Katie Cyr of Monarch Tea Co. and Diane Bentivegna of Mrs. B’s Gifthouse as we explore the world of tea and dessert pairings. Inspired by the special exhibit “eat make share: a taste of immigration” from Pier 21\, the evening will feature three teas paired with three internationally inspired treats from Mrs. B’s – a biscotti\, meringue\, and macaroon. Guests will have the opportunity to view the special exhibit one hour prior to the tea tasting workshop. A tea cocktail and mini scones from COBS will be served during the first hour. \nTickets are $55/person\, age 19+ ($50/members) and include a 1-hour workshop with 3 tea and treat pairings\, a signature tea cocktail\, a mini scone from COBS and admission to the Museum galleries.

DESCRIPTION:Culinary Kids Club is a once monthly drop-off program at Ireland House Museum on Sunday afternoons between 1:30 – 3:30 pm. Culinary Kids Club is designed for children between the ages of 8 – 12 years old. The cost is $30/child for each session (includes tax). \nPortable containers with sealable lids are recommended for kids to bring home their culinary creations. \nPre-registration is required\, and space limited. See you in the kitchen!

DESCRIPTION:Celebrate International Day of Women & Girls in Science and International Women’s Day with our STEMinist Speaker Series at Joseph Brant Museum. The series will highlight the experiences and career pathways of women working in science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics. Speakers will also share challenges\, successes\, and advice with those interested in STEM fields.\n \nAttendees will have the opportunity to visit the special exhibition Iron Willed: Women in STEM prior to the presentation\, followed by a screening of the Canadian film Ms. Scientist.\nTicket includes admission to Joseph Brant Museum\, speaker presentation and question period (1hr)\, Ms. Scientist film screening (45min)\, light beverages and popcorn. The Museum will open 1-hour prior to the presentation for those who wish to view the exhibits. The cost is $15/student & senior\, $18/adult.\n \nInternational Day of Women and Girls in Science\nWednesday\, February 11\, 2026 @ 7:00 PM\nFeaturing Dr. Ève Gilroy\nDr. Ève Gilroy is a research scientist at Environment and Climate Change Canada\, playing a key role in advancing environmental research. Based at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW) in Burlington\, Ontario\, she contributes to studies on aquatic contaminants and water quality monitoring.\n \nInternational Women’s Day\nSunday\, March 8\, 2026 @ 2pm\nFeaturing Vaishali Sridhar\nVaishali Sridhar is a scientist turned educator and the founder of BioTroopers Inc. With a background in molecular biology\, genomics\, and biotech\, she created BioTroopers to make life sciences engaging and hands-on for children. Inspired by her daughter’s curiosity\, Vaishali blends science with art\, music\, and play to spark a lifelong love of biology.\n
