Wednesday was a monumental day for us here at BurlingtonParents. As part of our relaunch celebration, we hosted not 1 but 2 Pop Up Play Dates for all of our supporters to enjoy. First up was a 10 o’clock get-together at Central Park. By that time, the temperature was 30 degrees, and we all knew it. Good thing there was a hearty supply of fresh fruit and cold water. Families from all over Halton came out and enjoyed Central Park, sampled some refreshments, and played games. Most importantly, we got to meet some of the friends we’ve only met through our social media channels.
The morning playdate was a complete success. The families we met were lovely, and had such positive and encouraging feedback for us. Thank you so much for coming, we truly hope you enjoyed yourselves.
Then it was home to reload the prize table and slice some more watermelon!
Our 2nd Pop Up Play Date was held at Thorpe Park at 6pm. The sky had clouded over so we had a small reprieve from the heat, but freezees were still a definite must-have. I have to say, that meeting people from all over the area (Aldershot, Appleby Village, The Orchard, Roseland and Burloak to name a few!) was the best part of the day. Kids played together, shared their toys, and had a blast. And of course, there was a second round of prizes handed out!
And it can’t be said enough – Thank you to our community of followers who made this all possible. Every post is written with you in mind, and knowing our site is helping you is what gets us fired up!
Here is a list of our fabulous sponsors. Their endorsement and generosity is unparalleled.
