Canada Day 150th Anniversary Celebration

Canada Day is the first holiday celebration of summer, and this year’s the City of Burlington has plans that will knock your red and white socks off!

Just imagine the party you’d be throwing for your 150th birthday… HUGE! That’s exactly what the City of Burlington and Burlington’s Canadian Tire stores were thinking when they planned this fabulous celebration! We’ve got the highlights for you, and we’ll be at the celebration ALL DAY so stop by and see us for your chance to take home a family fun kit!

The Family Zone

The Family Zone is always our first stop. My kids will be powerless to the draw of having their faces painted in any number of creative ways to celebrate Canada Day. After that they’ll want a balloon creation, and of course a colourful hair-do from the hair spray artist!

Did We Mention Dogs?

Back again, by popular demand, is Scholars in Collars, with their always entertaining dog shows. Three shows are planned, and watching the pups run, jump, and put on a show is a definite highlight for my 7 year old.

Inflatable Zone

No kid-friendly Canada Day party would be complete without a bouncey inflatable or two, and thank to the great people at Glad Tidings Church, kids will be bouncing all day long!

Musical Acts

Music kicks off at noon, and fills the park all the way through to the 10:00 p.m. finale of fireworks! Did I mention The Spoons were playing?

Best. Price. Ever.

Free. Yup, free. Just another reason why you need to be here.

Canada Day Fireworks

At 10:00 p.m. you and your family will be treated to a fireworks show like Burlington has never seen before, courtesy of BUNZL. Promised to be bigger, louder, and longer, so bring a chair, and your decaf double-double and join your City as it pays homage to the best country in the world.
