The buildings include the Tailor Shop\, Spinning and Weaving Shop\, Print Shop\, Boot and Harness Shop\, Cabinetmaker Shop\, and Blacksmith Shop. \nToday’s Family Craft is a booklet of activities. \nJuly 12 Stitch in Time: \nWe are highlighting the needlecrafts and fibre arts that one might see through the various time periods. Quilting\, rug hooking\, embroidery\, knitting and more will be part of the afternoon. \nToday’s Family Craft is to weave a paper mat. \nJuly 19 Colour Your World: \nWe are highlighting the artistic talents of some of our volunteers. A painting lesson on the green\, explore the world of pigments and paints and dyeing fibres using items from nature at the Marr Spinning and Weaving Shop. The schoolteacher will be at the school giving an art lesson on this Sunday. \nToday’s Family Craft is to broccoli painting. \nJuly 26 A Day in the Kitchen: \nWhat else happens in the historic kitchens? We cook and bake\, but what other activities might happen in this space? \nToday’s Family Craft is to make a note card – Jam Jar theme! \nAugust 2 and August 3 Milk and Honey \nThis family-friendly event explores the history\, science\, and traditions of dairy and honey production in Ontario from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s through hands-on activities\, demonstrations\, games\, and interactive experiences across the village. \nThis year’s event will also feature milk and bee-themed activities\, including: \n\n\n\nMilking demonstrations and a chance to try yourself!\nBee box demonstrations (no bees on-site)\nBee and milk trivia and games\nVictorian carnival games\nCrafts for all ages\nBaking demonstrations\nAnd more!\n\n\n\nWestfield is again partnering with Summit Station Dairy\, a multigenerational dairy farm rooted in the Hamilton community\, and they will have milk for sale by the General Store. \nEnjoy some yummy treats while you’re here! The Copetown Lions Food Truck will be on-site with food items for purchase\, including fries and hamburgers. DESCRIPTION:Free day use at all Ontario Parks. Bronte Creek is opening its doors to everyone in Ontario; there will be no charge for day-use visits during the celebration. Explore a new park\, sample our facilities and services or enjoy a fun event in a great natural setting! \nAll visitors to the park will be issued a complimentary day pass to the park. You may enjoy the park facilities until 10:00 p.m. on July 17. Additional charges for facilities not included in day use\, such as camping. Don’t forget to guarantee your spot! Visit Ontario Parks’ reservation service to obtain a daily vehicle permit in advance for one of the many participating parks up to five days in advance of your trip.
