DESCRIPTION:Snuggle up and read to a St. John Ambulance therapy dog. For ages 6 to 12. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuild confidence and a love of reading by reading aloud to a furry friend. Each child will spend about 10 minutes reading to one of two trained pet therapy dogs and their adult handler. While they wait for their turn\, kids can work quietly on literacy activities in the program room. Geared to children ages 6-12. \nPaws for Stories is very popular at this location\, and space is limited; please arrive early to secure your spot. \nPresented in partnership with St. John Ambulance

DESCRIPTION:Enjoy treats with an international twist this Mother’s Day! Join Katie Cyr of Monarch Tea Co. and Diane Bentivegna of Mrs. B’s Gifthouse as we explore the world of tea and dessert pairings. Inspired by the special exhibit “eat make share: a taste of immigration” from Pier 21\, the evening will feature three teas paired with three internationally inspired treats from Mrs. B’s – a biscotti\, meringue\, and macaroon. Guests will have the opportunity to view the special exhibit one hour prior to the tea tasting workshop. A tea cocktail and mini scones from COBS will be served during the first hour. \nTickets are $55/person\, age 19+ ($50/members) and include a 1-hour workshop with 3 tea and treat pairings\, a signature tea cocktail\, a mini scone from COBS and admission to the Museum galleries.
