weekend wrap up sunday

The Art Gallery of Burlington’s Creative Hub is one of our favourite places to visit in Burlington. Last Sunday, the open studio volunteers guided us in ways to make a Picasso inspired guitar using cardboard tissue boxes, buttons, tape and bottle caps! Check out our Instagram for pictures. It’s a free drop-in and a definite hidden gem in Burlington.

Slap on those ice skates and choose from free skating all day at Spencer Smith Park, or drop into the morning session at Mountainside, or the afternoon sessions at Central, Skyway, and Aldershot arenas!

Hey teens! Learn the basics of sewing while making your own colourful flowered cushion. All materials supplied. Call to register.

Watch out! Phew, you almost stepped on a giant jungle beetle! Keep an eye out today as we build our own jungle tree houses and riverboats at Ireland House’s Lego Club. We’ll also be making binoculars before we head out to look for exotic animals. Lego Club is a supervised drop-off program which takes place one Sunday per month throughout the school year.

Family Play Fit is a fantastic indoor program designed to help kids under 6 improve their movement and physical activity – disguised as FUN! Drop into Tansley Woods today and burn off some energy with your kids!

Has the winter hustle caused havoc with your kid’s sleep schedule? Don’t worry Jamie from Good Night Sleep Site has her weekly Facebook Live chat where you can ask questions and offer support to other parents struggling with sleep, too.
