This is a weekend jammed packed with festive activities, winter markets and a whole lot of great ways to spend some time together.

 

Saturday

All Aboard the Santa Train! We have received news from the North Pole that Santa will be joining us on our decorated and heated heritage train! This popular train ride is a great family holiday experience! Enjoy onboard entertainment while waiting for Santa’s arrival. The highlight of the ride is a visit from Santa with each child, big and small.

 

 

 

BPAC Festival of Trees Active ParentsFestival of Trees at Burlington Performing Arts Centre – Visit our 2nd Annual Festival of Trees and enter to win one of the fabulous trees decorated by a local business or organization! Fall in love with one of the trees? Buy a raffle ticket and it could be yours!

 

 

Family Play Fit at Brant Hills – Drop into the gym to be active together as a family. Enjoy and enhance your child’s FUNdamental Movement skills by trying out our Physical Literacy stations at your own pace. Come back week after week to enhance your child’s skills.

 

Library LEGO – What can you build? Come to create with our library LEGO!

 

Come Build With Us Challenge – Bring your BIG ideas, inventiveness, problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork, and get building! Use our assorted construction materials to meet new challenges every week.

 

Springridge Farm – Get into the holiday spirit with Springridge Farm’s annual Christmas activities on weekends!

 

Sat-ART-day – Grab your friends and family and create some art using supplies from our Loose Parts table.

 

Family Storytime – A special storytime perfect for families with children 5 and younger. Arrive early to register in person.

 

Drop-In Basketball – Love to play basketball? Come practice your 3-pointer or work on your jump shot, youth can drop-in to shoot some hoops. Ages 8-18.

 

Eco-Explorers – Whether we take a stroll outside or bring the outside in, come for hands-on activities and crafts to learn about the world around us.

 

Family Flicks at Aldershot Library – Relax and enjoy newer PG releases and classic family favourites.

Paint with Santa at Medium Art Studio – Santa is gracious enough to take time out of his busy days to paint, create & be merry with you and your family at our studio

 

 

 

Open Family Gym – Drop into our open gym time for families. This is your opportunity to shoot some hoops, practice your shots, and get in a little active time with your family. Ages 5-12 with an adult.

 

Theatre Burlington Production of Rumplestiltskin – Based on the classic Fairy Tale, the stage comes alive with colourful costumes, sets, lights and action. Introduce your children to the excitement of live theatre in an up close, friendly theatre setting.

 

Teen Maker Club – Our monthly teen takeover of the maker space! Come for hands-on making, digital fabrication, and electronics in a collaborative and fun setting.

 

Open Studio at the Art Gallery of Burlington – Drop into this family-friendly creative space where kids and parents are encouraged to tap into their artistic side!

Bronte Village Annual Tree Lighting – Santa is coming to Bronte Village! Save the date for FREE family fun. Kick off the Christmas season with our much loved annual Bronte Village Tree Lighting Ceremony.

 

Salvation Army Church Visit With Santa – Join us and watch your child/children make a craft to take home, have some healthy snacks, sing along to Christmas songs all while waiting for the jolliest of all elves, Santa Claus to visit.

 

Shiny Recreation Hockey – Supervised recreational hockey allows youth the opportunity to participate in a game of pick-up hockey.

 

Winter Lights at the Rock – Thousands of festive lights lead you through a winter wonderland of charming Christmas melodies, festive sips and bites and the Escarpment Train Exhibit.
