Looking for things to do in Burlington this weekend? Our Weekend Wrap Up was created to inspire you to get out and love your city for all it has to offer. How many of these spots will you be checking out?

Saturday

Play Fit is a fantastic indoor program designed to help kids under 6 improve their movement and physical activity – disguised as FUN! Drop into Brant Hills today and burn off some energy with your kids!

Frogs! RBG’s winter exhibit is on now. If you’ve never thought of frogs as beautiful, this exhibition will change your mind. Frogs! is a dynamic exhibit experience with two special exhibitions and daily, family-friendly activities where visitors of all ages can explore the wonderful world of frogs and their wetland homes.

Michael’s Kid’s Club let your kids explore their creativity while you shop! Kids 3 and up can paint a terra cotta pot with a friendly face or a fun colour-blocked pattern. Buy the jar, and the supplies to decorate it will be provided.

Join Halton Waldorf for Kindermorning where children will experience kindergarten activities while parents learn about the unique Waldorf approach to early childhood education.

Take your kids to a special storytime perfect for preschoolers. Children under the age of 3 are welcome but must bring their adult caregiver.

Join Cineplex on Saturday mornings at 11 am for Cineplex Family Favourites. Watch a family favourite film each week for only $2.99. It’s a fun and affordable way to enjoy the weekend with your family! This week’s feature film is Trolls!

It’s Sat-ART-day at Alton Library! Grab your friends and family and create some art using supplies from our Loose Parts table. Sign up for a free class or book club while you’re there!

Take the family and bounce the evening away at Rockin’ Saturday at Rockin’ Jump! It’s an all-ages open jump night starting at 8 p.m. Included in your admission are 2 hours of jumping, a free slice of pizza and a fountain drink!

Sunday

The Art Gallery of Burlington’s Creative Hub is one of our favourite places to visit in Burlington. Last Sunday, the open studio volunteers guided us in ways to make a Picasso inspired guitar using cardboard tissue boxes, buttons, tape and bottle caps! Check out our Instagram for pictures. It’s a free drop-in and a definite hidden gem in Burlington.

Enjoy a guided hike through some of the most lovely trails in our city. Each week there is a new meeting place, and a new path to explore. This week’s meeting point is Hendrie Valley.

Drop into the gym to explore Play Fit‘s toys and equipment. Enjoy the experience and enhance your child’s FUNdamental Movement Skills by trying our Physical Literacy Stations at your own pace. Come back week after week to enhance your child’s skills.

Tie up your skates and hit the ice at Mountainside or Skyway arenas for drop-in public skating.
