The Burlington Children’s Festival is an event our family has looked forward to since we became parents, and this year is no different. So much to see and do, it’s the best way to spend a day with the ones you love.
This year marks the 26th anniversary of Burlington’s Children’s Festival, continually ranked in the Top 100 Festivals and Events in Ontario. This one-day event is free for all attendees, and the day is jam-packed with non-stop fun and entertainment. To help you get the most out of your Children’s Festival, here are the 6 Things You Gotta Do at The Burlington’s Children Festival:
#1 Be Entertained!
The Main Stage has shows and entertainers all day long, starting at 10:30 a.m. and running all day until 5:00 p.m. With Sonshine & Broccoli you’ll sing and dance along to the music from one of their 3 family-friendly pop-rock CDs, be mesmerized by the fabulous Isabella Hoops who will be performing and teaching a world-class workshop on hula hooping, musical performances by Miss Michelle, and the comedy magic show of Brent and Sarah!
#2 Get Fancied Up!
Don’t stress about your outfit, because there will be multiple opportunities to get even fancier! Bee Bop the Clown is a fan-favourite and her face painting is a work of ART! Once you’ve got your face on, “head” over to the Hair Spray Artist, he’s tons of fun and you’ll be sure to catch everyone’s eye! Now that you’re all dolled up, meet your crew at the photo booth to capture this day in photographic history!
#3 Shop Till You Drop!
The Vendor Market always boasts a wide assortment of services to learn about and items to buy. Clothing, handmade crafts and collectible, toys, gadgets and more will be available so bring your pocket book! And be sure to chat up the artisans and sales folks, many of them have an amazing story to tell about their business!
#4 Come Hungry!
No matter what your favourite indulgence is, you’ll find it at the Burlington Children’s Festival! Fresh and hot french fries, sub zero ice cream and everything in between will be available for all-day snacking!
#5 Say Cheese!
Parents, you’ll want to triple check that you have your cameras with you because when you little super heroes see Spidey and Bat Girl they’re going to go super-fan all over them! And don’t forget the super adorable Peppa Pig, she’ll be there too!
#6 Stop By and Say “Hi!”
Yessireebob, Amber from Active Parents will be partying all day at the Burlington Children’s Festival! Stop by our tent and grab some freebies, say hi, and tell us what you want from Active Parents next!
As a parent, media sponsor, and attendee, I send a big Thank You to this year’s sponsors of the Burlington Children’s Festival! Your generosity and community spirit keep this event running!
